INNOVATIVE GROOVE PROFILE OPTIMISES CENTRING

The wear plate’s geometry with a groove profile on its lower surface characterises the GENERATION X². A centring profile is incorporated into the pick’s contact surface after the GENERATION X² toolholder has been used for less than 50 operating hours. This profile provides an almost form-fitting connection with the wear plate, significantly reducing the wear plate’s wobbling motion caused by lengthwise toolholder wear during the milling process. As a result, lengthwise toolholder wear is reduced by up to 25% when GENERATION X² picks are used.
